Without knowing a lot more details about your installation I would suggest re-installing Mach3. The most favoured version is R3.043.062 which can be downloaded from here; ftp://anonymous:guest@ftp.machsupport.com/Mach3/
Before installing make a backup copy of your existing Mach3 folder.

I dont intend to make the machine more accurate than it is. As it was built. I only want the ability to command mach3 to move in .00002" increments and display this movement in the DRO with an additional decimal place.

Hi Nate,

If you use one of the Screen Designers (http://www.machsupport.com/software/downloads-updates/screensets/) you can change the DRO’s to display the number of decimal places you desire (Format String  %+.5f  will display 5 decimal places).

F-Engrave has been mentioned before and it is an excellent FREE engraving software which also includes a V-Carving option.

The Scorch Works website now has an instructional video on using the V-Carve option to produce wood inlay work and it is well worth watching.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes sir, you can transport your Mach3 license between computers without issue.

You can also use the same license on more than one computer and provided you are not using a machine for commercial purposes on more than one machine.

I don’t think it can be done exactly as you have described because the homing switch back-off distance is limited. There is a lot of reading to do but this should help…
