Hi Marc,

That sounds like the dreaded crop circles - Go into Config. / General Config. and change the IJ Mode (then regenerate the toolpath to obtain the correct display).
Ideally you Gcode file should contain a G90.1 or G91.1 (as appropriate).

Ideally you should fix this issue mechanically (anti-backlash nut, etc.) but check out Backlash Compensation in the Mach3 manual http://www.machsupport.com/help-learning/product-manuals/

A depth map image is created (or obtained) then using Mach1filter it is converted into Gcode then it is machined/routed into wood.

In Windows Device Manager check the address (first value in I/O Range) of the LPT parallel port. Check that you have this address entered in Mach3 (Config. / Ports & Pins) as Port 1 and that it is enabled.

(Don't place too much faith in the Port 1 Pins Current State indicator - it does not always work as intended).

You are not alone, I have fallen into the bipolar trap more than once. 

Now I say that if the motor has 5 wires then it is Unipolar anything other than 5 wires can be wired as Bipolar (so far so good  ) .

Hi Craig,

Yes, I did look at this but pressure of work is not giving me enough time to look at anything in detail at the moment.
The M11/M10 commands are perhaps not the best ones to be using for this particular application, mainly because they only operate at the instant of the start of a following axis movement. They can be fooled by using an imaginary axis (such as the B axis whereby the code may look something like M11P1 B0 / M10P1 B1) but it would have to be tested to see if it could be made to work within your While IsMoving() loop. In addition I have no idea how the M11/M10 commands will behave if called whilst an axis is already moving.

Not much help really, sorry.

Hi John,

Welcome to the forum.

There is plenty of reading to do here on the forum as well as the Mach3 manuals http://www.machsupport.com/help-learning/product-manuals/

Just one thing comes to mind - it is not best practice to have two stepper motors wired together, they should really each be wired separately (with their own controllers) then 'slaved' to operate as a pair. The Mach3 manual gives more details of this.
