Hi Franselferink,

Please do keep us informed of your experience with XHC.

I am with Craig on this one, XHC do leave a lot to be desired when it comes to customer / product support but I suspect that they are just retailing a product (or products) which originated from another manufacturer and they really do not understand the technical aspects of what they are selling.

I would be inclined to make a secure backup of the Mach3 folder (just in case) then re-install Mach3 over the top of the existing installation (sounds like you have lost or overwritten one of the files Mach requires for it's boot operation).

When you load your Gcode select ‘Files of type:’ and choose your file extension *.tap, *.txt, etc, etc.

The Gcode folder you have lost is attached – just unzip and copy the folder Gcode to your Mach3 folder.

Where in Win7 do I find the 0x? to input in the Ports and Pins settings. I have a pci add on card, it shows it in Device Manager, but dont see any number that looks like that.

Look at the Properties for your PCI Card in Device Manager. Under Resources use the first address shown for I/O Range (ie. 0378) Mach will automatically add the 0x.

I initially used a stepper to drive my machine and a slotted disc on the main shaft to sense the needle position (needle clear of work).
Although I obtained some reasonable results at embroidery, the mass of the moving parts prevented me getting any more than 4 stitches per second. The project required so much more experimentation to progress further and I eventually ran out of enthusiasm.
