General Mach Discussion / Re: New PlugIn just about done..

Brian,

I got a shuttlepro for my b'day!  And I was using it but a little confused on how it was working.  When I use the inner wheel it takes a few clicks and then the axis moves a certain amount.  Is there a was to adjust the amount it moves?  The same with the outer wheel.  Can you adjust the rates the axis moves as you rotate the dial.

I have no specific need just wondering how it works.

Great job on the plugin.  You guys do some very nice work.

Dan.

General Mach Discussion / upgrading
« on: September 04, 2006, 10:46:28 AM »
If I upgrade from 1.8x to 1.9x I assume that I willnot lose any of my tuning?  Thought I would ask before I actually did it.

Also on the FTP site I found the post processor for bobcad called "mach1 for v18" I again am assuming that is the lastest post processor?

Thanks.

Dan.

I am looking for thread milling tools.  I want to get the single tooth kind so I can do various threads.  I found one at Harvey Tool:

http://www.harveytool.com/products/product_detail.php?product_id=71000-C3&category_id=1&product_family=Thread+Milling+Cutters

I would really like an indexable cutter but I have not been able to find one.

Any insight would be helpful.

I use a game pad so it has left and right pads or joysticks (depends on what you buy).  Left if X-Y right is A-Z.  I use the buttons for jog control and reset.

In the main Mach3 directory on your hard drive.  Assuming of course you are using Mach3.

So this is my first project trying and take a 2D image and wrap it around a cylinder.  This is going to be a ten year anniversary ring pen with Irish accents. (I make pens).

Here is the test part.  I used a scrap piece of wood and filled the engraving with black CA.  The finished part will be Irish Bog Oak (which is black in color) with silver leaf filling the engraving.  Things were going rather well till I lost the Z zero and the tool crashed into the barrel on the bottom text.  But got enough of it done to prove the design.  Need to change the font.

I looked under toolpath and could not find anything that reverses the image.

I cut this pattern this morning and it actually worked fine and the words came out correct.

OK works, Thanks.  :)

But why is everything backwards?  It is even that way on your screen.  :-\
