Thanks for the photo but I am still not sure why this C15 board would not work but the C36 is working fine.  Arturo did tell me the C15 was not for coming directly from a parallel port. Happy it all works again.

here are a couple pics

Not sure what you are showing there but it just seems to be relay outputs. If that is the case then it doesnt really matter how you wire it as it is just a switch, so if in your example above you put the +ve to the device, connected the other side of the device to the common (V_In it seems to be called) and then connected the NO to 0v (Gnd) then it would work fine. All that would happen is device gets 12v but as there is no path to 0v no current flows so device does not operate, close the relay and current can then flow so device works.

Works, I had the wrong voltage powering the board.   Had a 3.3vdc line instead of a 5vdc.

Looking at this I am guessing that V_IN is voltage in so that should be the positive lead?

OK, this is like going no where quick.

I asked and they told me to buy the C36 board.  But there is no wiring manual.  I am not sure how to wire this, what is positive and what is negative.

Thats what I thought.

I was told I bought the wrong board.  I need the C36.

Directly from the parallel port.

I checked parallel port 2 and I am getting 3.3vdc when I hit the flood.  Problem is the C15 is not triggering the solenoid.   I am not sure where I should be getting the ground from for the C15.  Should I be getting off the parallel port?  The wiring instructions say the grounds are common.  No clue what that means.

I did call CNC4PC and the possible problem could be the relay is optoisolated and it may not work with a parallel port.  Although it seems to say to me it should work with a parallel port.

Can the flood and mist outputs be triggered from LPT2?

I would think under the outputs tab I can use;   Output 1  port 2 pin 17

That look right?

I have a cnc4pc c15 relay board that I want to use for my solenoids.

I want to eliminate using LTP1 which is a Gecko540

Spent last weekend at the Maker Faire in NY.  My first time and I would HIGHLY recommend going.  It is also a great family event so you can bring the significant other and there is a lot for kids to do.

Here is a great video: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14970879

And my photos are on my facebook page.  I made them public so let me know if you cannot see them.
