General Mach Discussion / FOXTEL advert with Mach3 screen

Have a look at the 6 - 8 second mark for the Mach3 shot.  how this is used in the development of the application is beyond me, I can only think of it was used to make a mold for the hardware.

Hi all.
I was given some servo driver/amplifiers   http://www.a-m-c.com/download/datasheet/b12a6.pdf and the motors to suit (elcom)  same as these ( my pictures are no ???t that good) http://cgi.ebay.com/ELCOM-PITTMAN-5173N002-R1-BRUSHLESS-DC-SERVO-MOTOR_W0QQitemZ280376773703QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090725?IMSfp=TL090725135004r4357  I also have the 36V 6 A power supply to suit

My questions are;  is it worth while to use these ?  if yes how do I connect them to mach3?

Thanks in advance

Paul

Brian,

I have just won the "DH" of the year award.  My problem was that I had wired the drivers using the db25 female pinout instead of the male.

I now have movement and on to the next step, mounting the motors an limit switches.

'Til next time, and thanx
