Mach4 General Discussion / mach 4 go to zero and keyboard issues
« on: August 23, 2019, 08:27:06 AM »
I've got mach 4 running on my machine but I can't seem to get "go to work zero" in the mode tabs.  Also i can't get any keyboard functions to work.  I did configure everything I was thinking it needed.  I've attached some photos to show what I did.  Any help would be appreciated.

Mach4 General Discussion / having trouble with mach 4 demo
« on: August 01, 2019, 05:33:03 PM »
I just downloaded Mach 4 hobby on my cnc.  I'm using ESS  got everything connected and set all my limits and ports and pins and after running it the first time my "X" axes is traveling backwards.  I tried to open config and it will not let me select anything.  When I turn off the ESS I can access config but all my setting are gone.  Is this just a problem with the demo version?  I have been running Mach 3 for years and just starting to get better familiar with it... Am I crazy trying to upgrade to Mach 4

General Mach Discussion / z axis problem
« on: December 18, 2008, 06:35:37 PM »
I just set up a new machine and I'm having a problem with the "Z" axis never ends up in the same position. When running a file I can be as much as 3/4" off from the start to the finnish. Any suggestions on how to correct this. Also is there a way of moving the any of the axis by typing in a paramiter such as .250?

General Mach Discussion / converting
« on: October 29, 2008, 08:01:56 PM »
I am going to convert my old Maxym machine which runs Pattern maker because my computer failed.  It also is runs off of the serial port.  I want to update it to run Mach3. I'm thinking of purchasing a system that I can just buy and plug in and go... Some thing with the controller and motors as one system. Does any one have any suggestions.

General Mach Discussion / Re: HELP!!! with LPT3 port
« on: January 02, 2008, 07:08:03 PM »
Hood,
I tried what you suggested and it didn't work. One of the problems I'm had was the number I put into the port setting was not what you showed. What I have under resources type (I/O range setting (FCF8-FCFF) I am using a Quatech SPPXP-100 Express card in the LPT3 port. As you can see all I have is letters basicly... any help would be appreciated... Thanks

General Mach Discussion / HELP!!! with LPT3 port
« on: December 31, 2007, 04:37:05 PM »
HI... I'm new to Mach 3. My problem is my old computer crashed.. I bought a new computer and had to purchase a ExpressCard to plug into the Mach 3 controller. My problem is I can't get the Mach 3 program to see the LPT3 port. I tried to run the special driver and the only thing it does is input 0X0 into the port window. Has any one ran into this problem before.
