If I want to engrave two words how do I control the spacing between the words?

In its current configuration spacing controls the gap between the letters.

The space between the word is huge and I don’t see a setting for that.

Or do I just have to engrave each word separately ?

You can open the VB script for the font you are using and change the word spacing as in the pic. Reduce by about half, save and see what you get.

Hi Folks !
That fancy system appears to just be a following error monitor. How it throws an e-stop in their SW, I don't know.
Or if the configuration is even accessible to adjust the error allowed. (might increase it, if possible)
But .... every symptom described so far might just point to the mechanical drag, or binding, maybe low/no lubrication not allowing the axis accel/vel to match the command. Or possibly missing a step ?
Just guessing. Make sure everything is moving freely and well lubed for a test.
Try slow moves compared to rapids to see if the motors can keep up.
Maybe even go through and redo the Motor Tuning ...... reduce the settings by 50% and see what happens.
I'd do 1 axis at a time to maybe pinpoint the culprit.

If the chuck is flat, and is perpendicular to the column, can you swing the spindle across the chuck while watching an indicator at the chuck surface ?
Might see a deviation during / after the "step down" through the course of the swing.
May be some wear in those mating surfaces ?
Eliminate the chuck and test grind a block clamped directly to the base.
I like that style of grinder, wish I had one.

The "settle down" feature is neat. Everything there probably clean and working well.

Can be swiveled, but flat work will likely be cut by the trailing edge.

I'd shoot for true and flat.

Trying to determine the brand.
Anyone recognize them ? maybe by the red stripe ?
They are in an older machine that I am considering salvaging.
