Mach3 is all screwed up.  I'm running a Sherline 5400 CNC mill, and a XP Pro computer. When I move 2" according to the marks on the X axis, the DRO in Mach 3 reads 31.8700. Mach3 is set to Inch. I tried to cut a circle but it ended up being about 1/4" dia. instead of 2". Any idea's as to what setting may be screwed up?

If I press "page down" on the keyboard the Z axis goes up, if I press "page up" the Z-axis goes down.

Thanks, I'll check that out.

My Z axis goes the opposite way it should, I always have to switch the values around to make the code work. Can this be fixed in Mach3 or is there something I'm doing wrong when I set up my CAM program to make the G-code?

I fixed the problem, instead of using my vista laptop, I'm using my XP desktop. Problem solved.

The first four letters I see are: 03BC

Nope, DRO's don't change.

Nope no life. How can I check to make sure that Mach3 recognizes the mill is hooked up?

Where can I get the XML file at?

And what would be an unreasonable rate?
