G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Using aspire and mach 3 (total NooB)
« on: February 20, 2021, 09:19:00 PM »
I have Aspire, drew a test with a few designs and exported it. I cant get it to show but some of the drawing and it is skewed to upper right of center (view in Mach 3) I used "Mach 2/3 ARCH-inch" to export the file.

Second test i used same parameters, made sure all tool paths were selected and out of a 4 letter word (STOP) all i got was a "ST" and i had to seriously play with the view window (in Mach 3) to even see that.

My problem is i only have a little time here and there to play with it and its really frustrating. I hope it is something simple, i know I'm doing something wrong but just don't know what it is yet.
Thanks for any help

General Mach Discussion / Inkscape and the AxiDraw Plugin
« on: January 25, 2021, 08:38:39 PM »
Hi guys/gals, i'm looking to get all the software i need for my new adventure. I've got the machine up and running(ish), still need to add the limit switches program the home features and set the table overall.

The question is, i've looked and looked for the "AxiDraw_256 Plugin" and can't find it, the same for "Dragon Gcode".
I was watching a vid on how to create Gcode from a normal pic and those were the requirements. (Inkscape 0.92.4 -- AxiDraw_256 Plugin  --  & Dragon Gcode)

If there is a better way than the one i have found please let me know.
I'm glad to see there is a place to get this info and thanks for the dedication of all the people in this community that offer help to all the NooB's

Hi peoples, obviously new here and need all the help i can get. The biggest problem i have is no time to do anything, you may see me from time to time asking NooB questions but this has been a cool project none the less. Of course it has taken me 3 months to build but it was piece by piece and didn't work on it for days at a time.

Hopefully i will get to know some of you and actually get this thing going good.
