General Mach Discussion / Re: Best tutorials on setup & operation
« on: June 06, 2020, 03:08:09 AM »
Thanks for the quick and informative reply. This is the first time I've used my mill with the newly installed digital drivers, controllers and mach3. It's been converted from the old Fanuc control system. It's now moving around fine thanks. My Soft Limits issue is now resolved and I've run a few of the wizard programs in mach3, cutting only fresh air for now :)

Hi,

I'm also new to mach3 and this site. I notice that your post is now about 11 months old, has been read 205 times and as far as I can see there are zero replies posted. I cannot find any information about setting up mach3, this site came up in a google search, but seems short on basic setup information. If this site is set up specifically for mach3 I must be looking in the wrong places, I"ll keep looking. I did post elsewhere on this site but as yet also have zero replies, that post is only 1 day old. I would appreciate any help to locate some mach3 setup information. Thanks in advance.

Rob

Hi,
First time mach3 user. Just had my mill converted from the old Fanuc system to mach3. I've watched lots of videos on utube and tried to search this site for some clue on how to overcome the error message in the subject line of this post. The machine will home ok and will go to G54, G55 etc. assigned positions, but I've not so far been able to find a skerrick of useful information about how to set up the soft limits such that the error message doesn't display.

I would very much appreciate some help with this initial setup, I'm getting nowhere with mach3.

Thanks,
Rob
