General Mach Discussion / Re: Ref All Home and Go to Zero
« on: April 08, 2020, 06:57:52 PM »
Rsecura,

Thank you for spending some time to help me out. I decided to leave the machine alone for a couple of days and now I'm refreshed and ready.

I want to document this so that people in the future can see a solution.

1. I didn't have the Home switch on "A". I had Home on Y and that was fine but I also unclicked "Home Slave axis with master". This told one motor to run and the other wasn't. This is why the table freaked out and I had to hit E-Stop.

2. I switched the X and Y limit switches when I rewired. When I double-checked everything I noticed that the Y-axis didn't stop when I activated the Limit switch for Y. I feel dumb, but mistakes are mistakes.

Everything is working as it should.

Joel

General Mach Discussion / Ref All Home and Go to Zero

I have limit switches working, and a separate homing switch for Home.

I can click "Go to Zero" from anywhere and it goes back to home (zero)

But, when I push "Ref All Home" the Y-axis motors don't work together, it's hard to tell if they are either not moving the same speed or if one is not working.

Everything else works as it should but homing freaks out the machine and I have to hit the E-Stop.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Joel
