Thanks RICH!  I had those files and LT downloaded and installed but figured it was just put into LazyCam since LC was updated sooner so thought it was just built in. I messed around and got LazyTurn rocking for a sample run. Chess pawn/bishop guy test part ran well. Thanks for you work on that pdf too. I just turned this manual lathe into a cnc with some bs off ebay and milling my own brackets so its great to finally have her come to life haha.

Bummer.. maybe I should actually take a moment to program some gcode by hand for once after like 6years lol

Oh no... didnt know. Just wanted to turn a profile on the lathe. Weird.

idk if I installed a newer version of Mach3 then my Lazycam or what.
Mach3 3.043.062
Lazycam 3.00.2

Just trying to test some stuff and lazycam is saying Pro Demo.No GCode but have a mach3 license from a few years ago and mach3 works.. pasted file in folder etc so figured that was included. Anyone have this odd issue?

Thanks TPS!   I tried grounding the X like you said and it stepped... so then after looking at your video.. I was like damn I need to just test each axis on this interface board with a single driver/stepper connected. So X works, Y works, got to Z and its messed up so its a bad mach3 interface board I hooked the Z on lathe to Y and changed pins on Mach3 and everything is working fine for now. Ill order another board or two just to have a fully working one.   Thanks guys!

I think the common Nema 34 bundled5 with DQ860MA  is 3.5A MAX ONLY.

DQ860A is 7amp peak 5amp rms, or 7.8amp peak 5.6rms for those last two settings.. the motor 85bygh450d-008 says 5.6amp. The 60volt psu is 5.85amp. These are cold unworked motors under no load so its not going to burn up coils just in a 1sec jog attempt. I also have this on all 240v so usually less heat, more efficiency and lower amps used on the psu plus higher output by psu.

Im using one 60v psu per motor on lathe so just two motors, two 60v psu per motor. 12v transformer to power the Mach3 Interface board(M3IB), and 5v usb to M3IB to power the 5+ on drivers.

I still think there is something else wrong, not the amp settings or toasting coils.

Yes on 1600 on dips on driver.. and set at 1600/400/200/0/0 on tune page. I put dip switch4 on for full current on driver and off no change. Have used the two highest amp setting on dip also, 6,7,8 doing ON OFF OFF and OFF OFF OFF for 7. or 7.8amp

Tried another computer I use to run a 3axis and it didnt change anything on the new setup where im just trying to run this lathe Im having issues with.

Cant think of what else can be the issue here

I put the Enable- on driver to pin14 on IB and in Mach3 Output signals, set enable1 to port 1 pin 14 and checked green with no changes as if I just left enable- on drive disconnected.

I can hear the motors kinda respond with jog, but no major movement at all.

Found this video for the 5axis mach3 interface board... double checked everything for normal new setup.

Yea I had it connected to Enable+ which is all it sounds you needed to do. It wasnt working but the motors were like powered on and holding position or locked. Just couldnt get mach3 to run the motors.

I connected the Enable- to pcground and it didnt help.. the motors unlocked and spun by hand free like they were off.
Wish I had a extra "mach3 interface board" just to test. Ill prob order one or two up ha.

I peaked at this video and its the same parts for the most part and works for him so not sure what my issue is.
