OK, I am going to start designing my mill setup soon.  I will be using a NC pod to interface my Xylotex driver board to my laptop.  I was thinking about making a remote control stn for the main functions,  NCpod has 5 inputs and an E-Stop.  What would be some reccomendations for usefull Inputs.   Just dont want to be like "Man, I shoulda added thaat finction" or "why didnt I add that?"

Thx in advance

NC Pod / Re: PWM to Digital??

I guess I could use another output, but I Dont Want To.

My original question asked if I could turn the PWM output into a regular output.  There is not many outputs avalible on the NC Pod and I dont like wasting things

Yes, I know the A output is PWM, I want to make it On or Off, to control my relay.  I do not have spindle speed control, just wat to use the A output for on-off

OK, the screen is full size, but it's not.  I have a 15.4" widescreen Laptop and here's how the screen looks, notice the black space on the right.  I have a feeling it's a Vista Setting, but I am new to Vista, hep would be appreciated

General Mach Discussion / Re: Acceleration
« on: August 16, 2007, 04:04:08 PM »
I can not see the software being the limiting factor.  The drive's power to the weight it has to move will determine the max G accelleration/decelleration you will be able to acheave.  Like anything, as weight is increased, or Acceleration rate is increased, more power is needed to acheave.   Imagine your 1000Lb Gantry with 1HP Servo drive. it would accelerate, but not very fast.  Now, but 100HP worth of drive on it, it will accelerate alot quicker
