FAQs / Mach 3 THC Button disabled,??? Z axis diabled when program running? Ideas

First post... I've been creeping on your posts and have gotten some great info but I can't for the life of me get thru some z axis problems with my new build... here is the lay of the land..
my THC on/Off button disabled on mach run screen. I have thc enabled in plugin control Config.
But
THC runs fine when I enable THC in config-ports pins-Mill Options-allow THC Up/Dwn control even if not in THC Mode.
But i have no control to shut it off manually...Ideas?
2nd is- Z up down( Page up/Page Down) disabled when program is running? is this a Mach 3 thing. i find Hotkeys are the answer but they don't work,would like to bump the z up or down while running to avoid issue that arise.

Mach 3 (Demo Version) haven't purchased it yet because I haven't been able to get it to do what im looking for.

As for my Plasma CNC experiance.
I had a Torch Mate 5X10 Cnc table for 8 years, and trust me when I tell you that you earn your education running that system, I disliked the Torch Mate platform and have set out to build something better, I'm close to achieving that with the exception of a couple z axis problems... Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
