General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 Demo only reading 500 lines of code?
« on: December 31, 2018, 01:56:53 PM »
Thanks so much!  I'm not sure we can run MACH4 with a free simulator you mentioned.  Do you have the Crossfire table from Langmuir?  The table came with it's own motion control dll.  Not sure about all of that but at least we can get a licensed copy and maybe stop pulling our hair out.

Have a Safe New Years!

So with that being said we should purchase the license version correct?  I looked at the GCode and I see our files are a lot larger than 500 lines.  Do you have the licensed version?  Is it pretty easy to go from Demo to Licensed version?  Not sure how that works to be truthful.

Langmuir just got back with me and I need to have my laptop plugged into the machine before it will display my tool path.  Also, he did say that the Demo version has a 500 line limit.  Not sure if that's just for the view or will the machine stop at 500 lines?  I need to find that bit out.

Newbie learning curve...UGH

Do you know if we purchase the licensed version if that will solve our display issue?  Is there a line limitation on the licensed version?  We weren't told the demo version has any limitations on lines of code when we downloaded from the Langmuir site.  This is where we purchased our table.  Leaning the hard way and pulling out my hair at the same time.  I'm using Fusion 360 as my post process and there's no errors there.  I do see that my GCode is a lot more than 500 lines.  I just don't want to spend the money on the licensed version if it's not going to solve our problem.  No display in tool path.  I've double clicked, gone in and out and nothing.

We just purchased a table from Langmuir systems.  I'm following all their download instructions.  There's a plugin controller file, a dll file and Mach3 demo version.  I'm not sure if we can use Mach4 since another person on here said that the controller in the table is a Chinese type and it may not work well with Windows 10 even or Mach4.

I would need to contact Langmuir to see if we can use Mach4.  I just don't want to spend the money on Mach3 it that isn't our issue.

I haven't looked at error messages in the Status/History window.  I can do that tonight.  I do know our files are way over 500 lines.

Yes, I used Fusion360 Post process.  No errors and I simulated the path and it looks perfect on all the files I worked with.  No errors.  I'm using a Hypotherm 45xp cutter.  I use the cutting feature.  We have a plasma cutter.  XY axis only for our table.

What's roadrunner.tap file?  I'm not aware of this file.  Sorry--I'm really new to this process.  I'm trying to learn this then I need to teach my husband.  It's actually his.

Thank you!  I did mean GCode.  I'm using Fusion 360 to create the GCode and Mach3 to run the machine.  I purchases some DXF files and used Fusion 360 to create the Gcode.  Post processing via 360 seems fine, no errors.  Just no tool path in Mach3 and won't run on our machine.

Do you know if the licensed version has unlimited lines?  I bet this is why i can't see my projects in Mach3.  Do you know what the licensed version costs by any chance?

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 Demo only reading 500 lines of code?
« on: December 31, 2018, 11:19:53 AM »
Hi,

I'm having an issue with my tool path not showing up in Mach3 Demo version.  I've read that the Demo version will only read 500 lines of code.  Is this true?  I've purchased some files to use and I would be willing to bet they're over 500 lines of code.  Not sure if I want to invest in the licensed version until I know it can do the job.  Any information on the Demo/Licensed version would be appreciated.  Very frustrated here.  The tutorials on the table site didn't say there was a line limitation on the Demo version.

Thanks,

Beve

Hi,
Have you tried Mach3?  I'm reading that the demo version will only work on 500 lines of code.  Do you know that to be true?  I've purchased some DXF files and can't get them to display in Mach3.  I'm thinking this could be my problem.

Hi,

I just saw this post on another site.  Do you know if this is true? Mach3 Demo version will only show 500 lines of code?  If that's the case it might explain why my project isn't showing up.  I have Demo version.  My files are purchased files so I bet they're more than 500 lines of code.

Hi,

It looks like when I actually do the download from the site it states MACH3 v 3.02 or something like that.  When I open MACH3 it says 2.0 professional version.  I did download all the pieces on my Windows 7 machine and I'm still getting the same display in MACH3.  I'm wondering if the display would be different if connected to the table.  I'm trying to look at the display on the laptop at my desk.  What are your thoughts?
I know when i load the GCode from my desk I can't zero out the XY.  I'm thinking that might be some of my issue as well.

Thanks again for your time with me.
