Mach4 General Discussion / Y axis not repeating
« on: December 29, 2018, 10:21:31 PM »
Guys I just finished my build with a 48x48 router using a ess smoothstepper gecko 540 warp9 running mach4 and when cutting a rectangle my Y axis (bridged/slave) doesn't repeat and leaves about .06 between .125" depth cuts cutting a rectangle that is 5x9. I cant imagine that backlash is causing this. when I step back and forth with a indicator using .01 steps it repeats. I'm at a total loss. if anyone can shed some light on this I would be greatfull

Craig,
you have been extremely helpful!!! I an AE for a machine tool builder and I'm learning the difference between CNC at home and work. There are a ton of differences. I'm use to parameters and ladders and this is nothing like that. I may be back for more questions lol

#100=##5023 will store the current absolute Z position. However #100-199 are used as a clipboard if you want the control to store and save those values I would suggest using a common variable #500 and up
