LazyCam (Beta) / Lcam shutdown
« on: October 15, 2007, 12:34:32 PM »
Hi, I have been running Lcam 2.00.060 and I have just upgraded today to get the offset settings working. However when I select the chain I wish to offset (in or out) enter the the dia of the tool and press the create offset button, the program just shuts down. Has anyone else had this problem?

General Mach Discussion / Re: homeing issues
« on: August 09, 2007, 12:31:56 PM »
Right I have now (at last) Ithink sorted the homing out. All axis now home and back off as they should, no crashing, banging or bent limit switches. However (here we go again) the toolpath display looks wrong and shows the home position on the bottom left, which is like looking up from the bed to the cutter. I would like it to be on the bottom right side, which would be the same as looking down on the bed. Can this display be flipped to display this or am I going to have to get used to working this way? :-\

General Mach Discussion / Re: homeing issues

I have managed to sort one of the issues out. I ran the G code for the roadrunner and noticed that on the job display screen ,the Y axis was jogging from the opposite direction. I have swapped the Y and A drives over on the board and now as things are as they should be and the switch now home and jog off on both sides. However I still have not been able to set things up to run full speed then slow jog to the home switch. I'm sure it will be an easy setting fix and it will be staring me in the face, but at the moment I can't see the wood for trees.

General Mach Discussion / homeing issues
« on: August 05, 2007, 09:55:36 AM »
I have got one or two issues with the homeing on a 4 axis machine using a Aliencnc board. Issue one. Each axis has a pair of switches ,so home switch is shared. The Z and X work to a point. They both come to their switch, trip it and home off. However (issue 2) I cant set any axis to home at full speed and then slow jog at the end. I'm sure this is down to me and my settings!(speed is set to 20, slow Zone 1, auto  Zero selected, in the config section)  Back to issue 1. The Z and A axis are slaved, but of course have a home switch each. Now my understanding of Mach3 was that if the gantry was skewed it would hit the first switch, home off and then continue with the second axis and do the same. Whats happening is that its hitting the limits, tripping a reset. After the reset the A axis switch has been changed from an active high to an active low setting in ports and pins so it has to be changed back to high, so I can jog off. Any help please  Regards Hungry. ???
