Ok tried it and it's doing funky things using the mach3/mill post processor.

I machine zero everything..  Bring my tool to the corner of the work area zero out x, y and z.
Load the g code,.. Click run.. It's goes to home zero like it wants to run program but again freezes.. It's like it's binding or stuck.. When it's really not.. Is there anyone that could show me a walk thru to confirm my post processor is setup correctly with my Mach 3 setup I currently have. I'm thinking it's something very simple as it did my spoilboard effortlessly.

I did disable coolant in tool library.

i think you may be onto something.. i did remember seeing that in a message. When i get home. (shortly) I will check in the library and see what its set for. so your saying i can just turn that off? I know there is a way to select different types of coolants and such but I will just check over it and try a dry run..

Thank you very much for the insight.. Hugely appreciated.. it was driving me nuts.. I have a Chinese CNC.. not a tormach also.. i was using the tormach post processor.. was a friends suggestion.. they are not familuar with Fusion 360 is why i am sure.. but i will try and change over to the mach3mill instead ..

any settings i need to change from the originals its set up with?

Hey guys,

I've been using Fusion 360 for close to 2 years now. Just starting to get into tool paths and cam work and just delving into it head first.  So i'm very new to everything involved

I recently purchased a Chinese CNC Router 6040 4 axis, 2200 water cooled spindle, limit switches, hand dial..etc...
I tried to purchase the best set up i could find and working on getting this to work is becoming a very trying task. I'm looking for a little insight if you can assist.

I'm thinking my post processor is not correct to work with the Fusion g-code generator.
It seems the command to do certain tasks is not being commanded correctly, the machine freezes.. or stops right before its should drop to the cut point. the mach3 software shows its moving but the spindle is non functional(no x,y or z movement after it reaches the start axis.. Sorry is my word usage is poor. If I do a 2d cut like circular with multiple different depth cuts its fine but if i do something like 2d pocket it seems to freeze.

I did my spoilboard with holes and counter sink just fine but this new job is not working as well but I am using different command i have not used before.

*If there a suggested post processor to use?
*If i post the g-code here can someone check it over and explain what might be wrong?

Thank you in advance

John
