Well I just got this to say. All you people are very rich, and can afford to spend $200.-$1000 dollars for a board. But then there are us poor bastard that do not have high paying jobs to afford them, we have to make do with what we can find EVEN IF IT COMES FROM CHINA, now you are saying the Smoothieboard is no good, well is is made by Openbuilds in the USA. They say every person who buys the board also use mach3. ALL THE COMPANY'S IN THE USA HAVE THERE BOARDS MADE IN CHINA, IT IS CHEAPER, THEY ARE MADE UNDER THERE SPEC'S. EVEN THE BOARDS THAT YOU PEOPLE USE ARE MADE IN CHINA. No company in the us can afford to have them made here, labor is to high, I know this as I use to work for Zeltex electronic. All the boards that we got came from china.
So as of today I am removing ALL MACH 3 from my computer. You do not need to reply to this.
I AM DONE WITH MACH ALL TOGETHER.

this is not so, I went and bought a board as he told me to get and I did tell him. But he did just cut me off. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO BUY A $1000.00 DOLLAR BOARD TO MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY. I have been trying to do what mach says. I was not told what breakout board to buy.

Can any tell me why a member started to help me then just cut me off. All I want is to beable to use Mach3 on my cnc machine that I built. I have a laptop with a usb to parallel port cable. to use for this. If any one else would help me get started please let me know. dwa60@hotmail.com

I LIVE IN CAL, PITTSBURG. MY WIFE WILL NOT LET ME SPEND ANY MORE MONEY ON THIS MACHINE, SHE SAID THAT I HAVE SPENT TO MUCH, I COULD HAVE BOUGHT ONE FOR LESS MONEY AND HAD MACH INSTALLED ALREADY. SHE IS COMPLAING THAT I HAVE SO MANY BOARDS AND NONE WILL WORK ON MACH 3 OR 4, THAT I HAVE WASTED ALL THAT MONEY. I SOLD MY LAST ONE AND HE HAS MACH3 WORKING ON IT. HE HAS TOLD ME THAT A COUPLE OF MY BOARDS WILL WORK ON MACH. BUT HE WILL NOT TELL ME WITCH ONES.
SO I AM AT THE POINT NOW THAT I MIGHT SELL THIS ONE. THE SOFTWARE I HAVE NOW IS T2LASER. I DO NOT REALLY LIKE IT VERY LIMITED.
EVERY ONE SAYS TO USE A SMOOTHIE BOARD, I DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY.
I GUESS NEXT WEEK I AM PUTTING IT UP FOR SALE

The computer that is hooked to my CNC is an acer laptop, windows 7, 32 bit, this computer stays in the garage, I have another acer in the house for me. I have been wanting to use Mach 3, sence I built the machine, the softwae I am using now is VERY limited. I also use the garage laptop for my laser machine, that is why it stays in the garage. I have bought 6 board from ebay to see if any would work Mach3, I use the four steeper motors I have extra, I load up Mach3 and then try to run the motors, nothing. This is the second machine I built, the first one I sold, I got mad because I could not get Mach to work on it, the person who bought it wrote me and said he has it running on Mach 4, he will not tell me how he did it. That is what I ment before, people will not tell me any thing about how to run Mach 3 or 4.
I want to than you for replying to me, you are the first person that has.

The board is a 4 axis usbcnc controller interface board cncusb mk1 usbcnc 2.1, I was told that the baord I have now will not work, it has grbl on it. I have been using laser's for almost 5 yrs now, and wante to change. It is very hard to change to CNC router, no one want's to help. I built it my self, a copy of open build. The software I am using now is very limited. I bought this board because I was told it is for Mach 3 an 4, I will tell you people a litter about myself. First I am 72, had heart surgery last year, 2015 I died twice, had to have a pace maker put in. Then I had to have all my teeth pulled before surgery, in 2015 we almost lost our house to a flood. Been retired for 15 yrs now. The laser an cnc keep me busy.
My machine has 3 stepper motors on it, 2 nema 17 an one 23.
That is it I hope.

Can any one help me out, just built a cnc router, my problem is I can not figure out how to hook up the board I bought, it is. 4 axis usbcnc controller interface board cncusb mk1 usbcnc substitute mach3 board, it is for mach3 or 4. I do not know where the power goes to (plugsin).
I am 72, years young just had heart sugery last year, been working with lasers, and wanted to move up. This keeps me bussy. I will be 73 the 10th this month. Use to be a machinist for 43 yrs.
