Brains Development / Automating brain editing

I have written a complex brain program which works quite well.  I need to automate the editing of this program because it takes an hour for me to hand edit the program's parameters every time I make a slight change to a variety of system parameters.  All I need is the file format for a .BRN file and I can take care of the rest.

Brains Development / Was the problem ever fixed where Local Var inputs cause Mach3 to hang?

From what I have read in the forum, as far back as 2008 it was reported that using a local variable as an input to a brain would cause Mach3 to hang.  Was this problem ever resolved? I am using Demo Version R3.043.066 for my code development and it exhibits the problem.
