Hey Guys,

I'm building my first CNC and need help! So thought I'd say a quick hello. I've been building computers the past 20 years and in the last 12 months have been getting into 3d printing. 3d printing takes forever! I work for Visyboard full time as a printer and box maker and love to tinker in my spare time.

General Mach Discussion / Need some helping slaving!

Hi Guys,

Its my first time building a CNC and also using Mach3. I am trying to build a CNC foam cutter. which only has two axis both slaved. The Y and the Z.

So far I have managed to slave my Y axis fine. I am trying to slave my Z axis. So far it only moves in one direction and when I jog it the other way the numbers move on the DRO but not the motor. The motor seems to be trying to turn a few steps but stops. Any ideas?
