i know its an old tread.Im in same boat as first poster
got cnc from china,pirate software,Im running win 7 32 bit,they told me i can use usb lead?,well it works ok with the other software they sent (cnc controller),but wont work with mach3.do you think it HAS to be connected via parallel port..........even though the cnc software works (but is only a demo version),and doesnt look as good as mach3...should I load XP  ??

Hi, I am in the UK and very new to the world of CNC routing and MACH3, a nurse by background who is now looking to start a new venture, carving / cutting Vinyl Records to create  clocks. I purchased a 3040 from Ebay2 weks ago
I am haveing issues tryng to generate g codes ?? from designs and pictures.

I look forward to tips andsupport that can be offered
