Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Modbus ASCII Support for Mach4?
« on: January 31, 2018, 11:28:43 PM »
FWIW  :)

Russ

This is beautiful, I can finally get rid of my Arduino now!

Hi,
I'm not 100% on it but yes I believe it is Ascii capable. Personally found the Mach4 Modbus plugin way superior to
Mach3.

Why don't you download Mach4, run the Sim(ulator) plugin, all for free and try it out. If I'm not mistaken the Modbus plugin is fully functional in demo mode.

Craig

I did gave it a try last 2 years ago, I got irritated by it after the demo mode stops the entire cutting process after a certain line or time. But now I'm downloading the latest Mach4Hobby to give it a try!

Thanks guys!

Mach4 General Discussion / Modbus ASCII Support for Mach4?
« on: January 31, 2018, 10:31:56 PM »
I have a Hypertherm Powermax 65 plasma cutter with serial port interface, and Hypertherm uses Modbus ASCII protocol. For Mach3 I used a Modbus RTU to ASCII translator (built with Arduino) to establish the interface, as Mach3 does not support Modbus ASCII. Can anyone tell me if Mach4 supports Modbus ASCII protocol? I've yet to own a copy of Mach4 and I'm still thinking very hard about getting Mach4 license for it. Thanks!

Hi, all,

I found the MachPluginWizard tutorials in Plugin Development tab in Videos and Tutorial section of MachSupport website. My apologies for the inconvenience caused. The link to the videos are here to those who are looking for it:

Thanks again!

Hi all,

It seems that the tutorial video links by j1sys are removed. Could someone kindly re-upload the tutorial files again? e.g. Dropbox, Drive, would be nice!

Here are the following videos that are no longer available:

www.j1sys.com/MPW_XYZTutor_1.swf     (17Meg, 19min)  Overview
www.j1sys.com/MPW_XYZTutor_2.swf     (13Meg, 29min)  MachDevice.h/MachDevice.cpp
www.j1sys.com/MPW_XYZTutor_3a.swf   (5Meg, 13min)    Plugin.h
www.j1sys.com/MPW_XYZTutor_3b.swf   (11Meg, 27min)  Plugin.cpp

Thanks!

Brains Development / Mach3 Blended Velocity Decelerating LED
« on: August 13, 2016, 10:28:23 AM »
I'd like to ask if there is any way for a Mach Brain to know when the blended velocity is decelerating?
