General Mach Discussion / Jog dial not working after changing computers????

Hello:

I had to switch computers and all is fine except my SCR Robotics (ShuttleXpress) Jog Dial is not right. I can move the table in .001 steps but when I turn the dial to rapid nothing happens. When I select X,Y or Z I get a ding and Mach 3 shows the selected direction but no rapid, do I have something turned off?? I have a spare (back-up) but get the same results with both.

General Mach Discussion / Lost manual control

I have lost my manual control. It will run a program and return to Z, but it will not respond to any manual input. Also I have no jog mode selection, I can't select Step or continues. Nothing lights up there. If I push the Z up, it will light up but the machine does not respond. I also have a usb port pulse generator and it does not work either. I have let the machine run programs cutting air and rebooted in the hope it would clear itself, but no luck. I need help!

General Mach Discussion / Table only goes in one direction

My machine acts stupid from time to time and the X table will only move in one direction. When I tell it to go to the right it goes to the right, when I tell it to move to the left it goes to the right! Then sometimes it will work fine and I load a program but after several passes it suddenly just moves to the right plowing through whatever is there. I swapped out my driver boards, but I sometimes think it is because I live in Florida and the computer does not like the humidity. Any ideas or comments anyone?

I too have been running mach3 for about 3 years without problems and now my X drive will only move in one direction, no mater which direction I tell it to go, it always moves the same way. I too swapped out my geco motor drives- no luck. Can you help with the solution. Thank you.

At work our IT department switched our small lab mill computer over to a newer computer but in the process everything works except the Wizards. It says it is not licensed, but it is and I can’t find where the license is  stored to activate it again. Does anyone know how or where this is?

Ron I  was using the rectangle pocket only going 5/8" deep in .030 deep passes in P-20 mold steel. Like I said; when I changed the ramp to zero the pocket program worked fine. For some reason the ramp feature had it just going round and round in a circle. I like the wizards very much even though I do most of my mold work using a CAM program to write the code but hese wizards are really handy for cutting simple pockets in the mold plates.

I will check out the newest version, thank you.

I just removed the ramp-in and returned it to zero and now the pocket works fine. But I still can't preview and go back and post, OH, yeah I forgot I have version V2.85. Could it be my computer processor?

A few months back I loaded the newest version of Wizards to remove a bug in the grove start, it would be herky-jerky before starting. Anyway the newer version solved that but today I went to use the pocket program and it wrote a very long program of just going round in a circle even though it showed a rectangle pocket.

The other problem is I can no longer preview the program and go back to post it. When I preview the only thing I can do is close Mach3 and start over. The old Wizards worked fine except that one start issue.

Is this just my machine or is there something to fix this?
