General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 tools
« on: January 18, 2018, 12:34:02 AM »
I am trying to run a program the will face the part drill the part and cut it off, on the simulator the program works. When I run it the tools never change and the G83 peck drilling operation just gets skipped over. I am new to cnc programing and need some help.
Running my program Mach3 does not recognize the tool numbers. I have tried T1 T0101 writing M6 before the line on the line and on the next line. When it come to the line with the tool change the tool box never changes from zero and my offsets are not recognized.

My name is  Greg I live in Milwaukee WI, I retired a few years ago and started buying and overhauling machines for my personal use. After my current lathe project I decided to sell all of them and buy one brand new machine. I decided on the Shop Master Mill/Turn with the Mach 3 software included. For my needs this machine will be just fine. I have had a few problems setting the unit up but we are getting there. So I am not only new to Mach 3 but to CNC machining.  I have a post in the NFS wizard but no one seems to be home. I'll keep trying.

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Re: NFS Turn Wizard

Ron new user just received my machine and down loaded NFS Turn

I have an issue with the spindle direction in both wizards, the rotation stays CW. In turn, I have to edit the program with M4. In NFS I built the tool and checked front post and CCW. When I post it it remains M3. In both programs after editing, if i stop it and restart it the program defaults to M3. Any ideas on what switch I need to change.
