Hi again all - here's the latest update:

Having opened the box, there doesn't appear to be anything to remove/release (but not being an expert in such things, perhaps someone will correct me on this).

Thanks again for your advice,

Samuel

Many thanks guys for your help guys, all greatly appreciated - I'll open up the control box tomorrow and have a look, and will report back!

Thank you Bryan and Tweakie for your advice - I have filmed an updated video using a more recent version of Mach 3 in demo mode, and would be very grateful for your comments and advice (the emergency stop switch appears to be working, having been released through twisting, and the parallel port - I think - is linking correctly with Mach 3).

General Mach Discussion / Chinese 3040T problem - no motor movement
« on: March 20, 2016, 06:04:00 PM »
Hello everyone,

I've run into a problem setting up one of the popular Chinese 3040T machines (on eBay) with Mach 3 - everything seems to be installing and setting up as it should, but I have not yet been able to get any motor movement on the machine. Please see the video I filmed this morning, which documents the set-up from start to finish (with a new Windows XP 32-bit computer):

Can anyone help?

Many thanks in advance,

Samuel

I'm also having this problem - recently purchased a newly-refurbished 32 bit Windows 7 computer, and having installed Mach3 and clicked 'DriverTest' a box appears stating 'No Driver sensed installed'. Anyone out there who knows how to solve this problem (without purchasing a new computer)?
