Hi everybody !

I tryed to install LinuxCNC, and now my stepper motors are moving as supposed.

I want to thank you all for your great support, and best of luck for all of you.

This thread can be closed now.

Hi Dave.

I have tried that too, and it had no effect.    I am really thinking about trying to change PC and CNC controller , because  I dont see any other solutions.

Hi Tweakie.

My controller is called a Step2600 ( http://www.digi-vision.de/download/pdf/Stepp2600.pdf ), and came with the machine.

I tried to put 532.8 in steps pr unit, and the x-axis was moving slightly better. But after using the axis calibration, which gave an 133,2 steps pr unit, the motor was back to it old ways with ''ticking'' and ''jerking''.
Could it be my controller card that is simply not made for mach3, or is it possible that the PC is to weak?

Regads, Beni.

My Pc is connected to the CNC via a Parallel Port (LPT).
The PC is an AMD Athlon 1,6 Ghz , 1,25 gb ram, OS windows XP.

Hi Bfgstew.
Ya, my stepper does 200 step on a rev, but mach3 only wanna know how many steps it takes for 1 mm. And since my axes have 3 mm pitch, i figured that 200/3 =66,6.

My real problem is how the motor 'ticks' when it rotates.

Hi Everyone !

I am in need of help big time! My CNC wont move the axes the way it is supposed too. http://abcnc.de/shop/en/detail/index/sArticle/234/sCategory/6

When I use the software that came with my CNC, the axes moves exellent. But their sofftware can only wotk with HPGL, not Gcode. But when I jog the axes in Mach3, the stepper motors just rotate too slow and unaccurate.

What am I missing? I have been researching for 3 days now and I cant figure out what the problem is !

Here is a link to a video, where I am jogging the X-axis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJtbc8W2dXo&feature=youtu.be

PLEASE help me.

Regards, Beni.
