Tried both of those settings and it's still really slow. But when I home all axis it's a lot faster... I don't understand what's going on lol

Help !!

The velocity in motor tuning is in degrees/min, so the A velocity should be much higher than the velocity of your other axis.

In Config > Toolpath, check "Use Radius for feedrate".
On the Settings page, enter the Rotation Radius for your part. If you are setting Z zero to the center of your stock, enter .001.

Thanks for the reply.

When I home all my axis the A axis turns a lot faster than when I run G code so i know the indexer will turn a lot faster. Currently the Velovity is set to 799 and acceleration is 400. where exactly is the setting where i put in .001 ? I cannot seem to find it. can you post a screenshot if possible

also check out the sample g code i posted below and tell me if it is setting a speed in the code.

Here is the begining of some sample gcode I generated in aspire 8.5. where is the indexer feedrate?

General Mach Discussion / 4th axis speed
« on: July 08, 2017, 11:56:55 AM »
Try to be short and precise as possible.

running Mach3 2.0 on a Velox CNC with 4th axis indexer. Problem is the 4th axis is turning extremely slow when running gcode. It is turning so slow that instread of cutting the wood piece it's burning it. any advice on how to adjust the speed of the indexer?

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach4 carving backwards
« on: March 29, 2016, 10:01:35 PM »
My X axis is made up of two motors slaved in Mach4. Motor 0 and Motor 3. I set both of these motors to reverse and restarted MAch4 and nothing happened they moved in the same direction as before.

Any suggestions?

Is the "E" letter carved backwards (i.e. open to the left)?  Or it it facing the correct direction but the word has the letters in the opposite order?

Do all of your axes jog the proper direction (i.e. pressing X+ moves the X axis in the positive direction, etc.)?

To reverse a motor, go to the Mach4 "Configure" menu and select "Mach...".  Then click on the "Motors" tab.  Click on the motor name in the upper right to display the tuning parameters below (which motor depends on how you have them mapped to X,Y,Z).  There is a checkbox for "Reversed".  Change that and then click on "Apply".

Reverse the backward axis in Mach4. If it cut's backwards, then your machine is setup backwards.

What do you mean by reverse the backwards axis? Can you explane a little more

Mach4 General Discussion / Mach4 carving backwards

Hello. I'm new to MACH4 and I am having a problem with it carving backwards.  For example If I try to V-carve the word "THE" it is carved on the board as "EHT". so what I have to do is flip the text in aspire to say "EHT" for it to carve corretly.  Any suggestions??

problem solved:

I had to go into MACH4 a slave the 4th motor with the X axis and it works just fine now.

Mach4 General Discussion / help with axis movement distances
« on: December 20, 2015, 01:16:00 AM »
I recently build the dave gatton sidewinder CNC and it's setup and running mach4. I am having a problem with the distance the axis travels when I move them. For example when i tell the Z axis to move 1 inch ip it actually moves like 1.5 inches up. same with the X and Y axises. can someone tell me how to properly setup the machine so when I tell it to move an inch it actually moves and inch
