I got an email last night from him.  I guess he's just perpetually swamped.

General Mach Discussion / CNC Fusion still in business?
« on: June 03, 2015, 02:20:29 PM »
I emailed them a week ago and received no response.  A couple of days ago I emailed their other 2 email addresses and no response there either.  Whens the last time anyone has heard from Michael?  Is there anybody else making a kit for X2 mills? (mines actually a LMS 3990).

I posted this in the general forum but got no response, maybe it'll be more successful in here.

I've been acquiring parts to convert a LMS Hitorque 3990 to CNC.  I have an ESS that I would like to use with a small form factor PC that has no parallel port.  I've been reading about breakout boards and whether isolated inputs are required or not.  From what I gather, you don't really need isolation on your motor outputs but they're a good idea on your inputs.  I'm thinking of using a Keling KL-DB25 for my inputs and a PMDX-122 for my motor/spindle controls.  Is this a good idea or am I complicating the setup unnecessarily?

Thanks,
