Anyone still here? I'm having a similar problem, but my motors only turn one direction. It's not like one of those that turn one direction when you press + or - directions, mine only works one way. For example, the x motor only moves to the right when you press X+ but it doesn't move at all when you press X-. I know my pins are correct and my ports because sometimes X- will move but X+ won't move. Same goes with Y and Z.

When I test if my machine will really stop at exactly 0.00 or my max, it kinda works. For example I move the x axis to the right (starting for 0.00), it moves, as well as the DRO on MAch3, then when I move it to the left, (back to the original position which is 0.00), it doesn't move. It just stays on that position, while the DRO moves to 0.00. SO yeah the limits work and stuff. But it doesn't apply to the machine.

When I try and do it again, the 0.00 position is not on the old place anymore since I moved it to the right and it didnt go back, SO it just keeps moving to the right and not moving when i move it to the left, but Mach3 is thinking that it moved to 0.00 when in reality it didnt. So the motor just kept moving right without going back.

This is happening to all the axes.

Oh and it says on the bottom
"Soft Limits System Movement Aborted"

Any ideas?

Sorry I'm really new to this, where can I find the .xml file?

But I set it up according to what the manual said. I didn't add anything to it or do anything.

I used your settings too and it kinda worked. The motors run forward (positive direction) nicely and smoothly, but when I reverse the direction (negative), it "locks" and stops. This is happening to all the motors (XYZ), but most commonly on the Y motor. Sometimes, the Z and X motors work fine going forwards and backwards (upwards and downwards), but they still occasionally stop and "lock". To fix this lock I need to press random jog buttons and find one that works so that they "unlock" and work again. On the other hand, the Y motor still locks when going reverse. It moves backward for a short time, then it locks.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jannes

But maybe it's not one of those Chinese 3020 stuff, cause i forgot what it is. The manual was just given to me, not sure if it was the one accompanying the machine

Yeah I have a feeling its one of those Chinese 3020 stuff  :-\ :( I forgot cause I didnt use the machine until now, I got it a few years back from ebay. Here's the manual they gave me

3 axis Mini-CNC Controller, 220V and the 3 axis CNC Router

11:22 am Update: XYZ are moving both forwards and backwards!!!I didn't really do anything, I just checked the Enable1 and put it in Port 1, Pin 16, then unchecked the charge pump.

But sometimes they stuck and "lock". When one motor locks, its red LED light stays on. I'll press random motor jog buttons on Mach3, and nothing will happen for a while but after a few seconds, it starts working again. It works sometimes, but sometimes it doesn't. I want to make it work always. Any ideas on how? and why this is happening?
