General Mach Discussion / Re: Auto Squaring Gantry
« on: March 13, 2019, 05:16:00 PM »
OK I know this is an old reply to all of this but I am doing my build now.

If you do not check the home slave, the slave does not home with the x. ???  My thought is that if you are close to the switches it would not hurt the gantry. If not ouch. So wht is the right way to do this.

Mach3, PMDX 126, Gecko 203 and stepper motors.

It made this and I t turned on the laser at x0 y0, then turned it off a x0 y0. Do I have to make some setup changes?

I was given this one and it works. The trouble I have is getting Aspire8 to write the code to match this.

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 tool table
« on: October 08, 2015, 02:53:15 AM »
 ???

I am new to Mach3 and looked through the forum but did not see anything about this.

I have been running Aspire8 to make the G code and running my machine with Mach3 without much of any trouble. I tried to load the tool table and now Z is going nuts. If I have anything other then 0 in the Height field bad things happen. If you go down to auto 0 tool to the top of your work it goes up the amount you have in tool table height plus what I have set in auto 0 gadget.

If I try to run a G code with anything more then 0 in Height it will try to drive the tool to Z 0, plus the amount in Height.

 What am I not seeing?

General Mach Discussion / Re: Cycle Jog Step/Jog Mode not working

Losing machine zero could be an ESS issue?????

I chained my limiting, com to c to nc, an so on.  All but the last one. That one is flipped, nc goes to lpt13 so you do not loss the last limit. I figured if I turn off the limits and on the homes you would not get the Estop. It works B-) somewhat. (if I am with in3-5mm)

The other part of my last question was about noise on the line. Scott thinks it is stopping my homing. It only moves 3-5mm stops an zeros.

:-\ I call it hidding in plain site.  Thanks. I tried to send both the cnc table and mill.xml but this program would not let me. ??

If you could I have some more.

I have the  Persistent Offsets checked (I think) but I lose my home 0,0 everytime I turn off/on.

The othe is I went through the file (I am at work so I do not have the file name) that tells you to go through your computer. That tell you to turn this on/off, set this to, and so no. I still have enough noise to stop it from doing the set all home. Got any ideas?

The cnc table is my main file, the mill is the one I try things. In mill the jog light is on cnc table it is not Been trying to figure that out.

One of these days I will get this thing figured out.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 wont reference all home
« on: April 06, 2015, 02:09:44 PM »
If I try to home it will move about 2-5mm, stop and set all to green 0.

What I did was chain all my relays from com, to C-CN-C exc all but the last one. It si NC-NC, C to LPT13, that way the last NO does not lose it's C. When I home I turn on the homes and off the X++,X--exc. that way it will not run into an Estop. So if I am say within 2-5mm it works, but if I am at the other side of the table (1250x660mm) I will end up with an 0,0,0 out in space.

Another one I am ??? about is the motor speeds/settings. I run them in Motor Tuning and they perrrrrrr. When I run them from Gcode or MDI Input they either try to run out the door sounding bad or sloooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww. I ran the Cross.tap Gcode... Found the F5000 in it. By the time I got done adjusting it I was down to F75.

Senses I am on a roll. The one I got this hole thing from shipped a VFD Mod: M150B 3ph 220v 0-400hz, 1.5kw, 8a. made by Electromtor co ltd. I am going to use it for a door stop. 99% of the time I get an Er.4 motor tries to start. The time I did get it going the breakout board went nuts. Or if I have the Gcode running I can not start the motor. I took a very long cable to the other side of the house with a GFI outlet. The same.
Seller will not give me English documentation on it so HELP....
