I received a reply about the issue and removed the length from the bit data base and that solved the problem.

I have mach3 and added the 2010 screenset and it worked great until recently. Now after going through the routine to zero my "Z" axis by touching the plate on top of the board to be cut, then the plate in the table top the "Z" axis is set but when I click cycle start the router is trying to cut 2 inches above the board. Can some one help?

Its alive I just cut my first block of wood the motors sound and move great. It’s got me so excited to have it running.
I sure all of you can remember this. I have to calm down and learn how all this works before I really screw something up. My machine is 24” X 36”, using three 425 oz in. motors, a Gecko G540 control and Mach3 software. All else was created using a drill press, port a band, and a sick welder. Wow this is great!!!

Too late I purchased the Gecko G540 this morning.

Hello all, I have looked at forums before but this is the first time I have become a member and posted.
My name Is Dave and I live in Columbus, Ohio. I have built my CNC router it is mechanically completed. I started with smaller stepper motors (175 oz-in) and replaced them with (425 oz-in) stepper motors.
But is seems I made a big mistake.
I used the cheap, junk TB6560 3 axis for the driver. Can some one recommend a drive for this machine 24” X 36”?
I am considering the G540 4-Axis Digital Step Drive.
