Mach3 under Vista / Mach 3 : Windows 7 vs previous OS's
« on: March 05, 2015, 05:25:39 AM »
Hello there :)

I'm currently using Mach 3 Demo for testing on PC & Laptop.

The laptop has Windows 7 installed & doesn't possess LPT port.

The PC has Windows 98 installed & LPT port.

I've created a PCB project using Eagle software and tried running the produced
g-code on both machines. On laptop it has shows whole board and test runs went
smoothly. On the PC only a small part of the board was shown and only the shown
part was made (through test).

I thought that it might be due to the demo limitations (how does those work? My demo
on laptop was able to go through whole g-code with 5.5k lines. Does it only applies to
actual sterring the machine ?), but after installing demo on other PC with Win XP/Win 7, which
also has and LPT port, a little bigger fragment of g-code was shown on the display, but still
just part. Any ideas why wouldn't it show in display everything it should ?

Thanks in advance for Your help ! :)

Best Regards,
Sarachiel
