General Mach Discussion / MPG wired pendant help needed

Hi All,
I'm building an operator control panel for my converted milling machine. It runs mach3 with a USB smooth stepper which along with all the main servo drives are located in a cabinet behind the machine.
The user control box is mounted on an swing arm like a classic CNC machine. Inside this box is the modern PC mother board has (no com ports), touch screen, PC power supply, 5 volt power supply, 12 volt supply, and Pokeys 57Ethernet.
I have all the switches working but the MPG pendant (wired) is doing my head in! I'm totally confused.
I want to, if possible, wire the MPG and function directly to the Pokeys inside the control panel. Is this possible? Any assistance or guidance would be appreciated.
