Mach4 General Discussion / TOUCH UI editor?
« on: March 10, 2021, 12:03:31 PM »
Is there a GUI editor for the scripts and such behind the TOUCH UI screen?
If there is, what specific file needs to be modified?
I would like to set it up for a specific set of movements that are not included in the screen.
thank you

Ok so that did not work.
The line after the move instruction is suppose to set the #3 DRO to 0.00 and it stays at 180.

Mach4 General Discussion / Help with RefAll

I want to move the machine to a specific coordinate and reset the DRO's.
I am trying to edit the refall function in the screen editor. It seems that no matter what I do, no code
runs after the gcode command.
That portion of the file is attached.
Any help appreciated.
Thank you

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Pocket hole operation problem

So it turns out that if you are running the Tangential screen set it does not matter whether it is active or not. The spindle lifts at each corner as defined
by the settings. Mine was set to 1.3 for testing purposes. Set it to zero and all is good.

Mach4 - using the same g-code I used in Mach3 for a pocketing operation in 1/2" aluminum with a 1/8 bit.
Zero the Z axis and the DRO reads 1.622 which is the thickness of the block plus a 1 inch retraction.
All good so far. The operation has a clearance place of .02 inches and a depth of cut of .05" with a final depth of .55". After each completed plunge, the Z moves up to 1.3 inches. There is nothing in the G-Code that tells it to move more than to the clearance plane.
Any ideas appreciated!

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Running G-Code slows machine

Thanks for everyone's response. It turns out the motor tuning on the A axis was so slow that everything else slowed to catch up to it. Once I got the motor close to proper tuning, everything ran smoothly.

Do you have a hint where I might find that?

inches

Also, if I run it line by line in the MDI window, it runs proper speed

CNCRounter parts 4896 with ESS controller.
Just switched to Mach4. Motors run at normal speed in jog mode.
As soon as it tries to run G-Code like test file attached, it slows to a snails pace.
Can't figure it out.
Any help appreciated
Thank you

General Mach Discussion / Importing a Profile
« on: September 11, 2020, 05:41:39 PM »
I have a profile setup for X,Y and Z axis. I want to use the same profile on the Tangential setup and add the
associated drivers to that.
How can that be done?
Thanks for any help.
