General Mach Discussion / Disabling the toolpath display
« on: December 28, 2007, 11:11:21 AM »
Hi,

I was having trouble with the “Driver triggering the watchdog timer.” I turned off the tool path display in the diagnostics screen of the program and this seems to  have  eliminated  the problem.  Is there somewhere I can disable the screen all the time, edit the xml perhaps, or do I have to disable it every time I start the program? I am using version R2.60.

Thanks,
Bob

Heres a simulation of the Gcode as generated by MeshCam and simulated in CutViewer Mill. I must admit, it would take a while to cut this on my little Emco Mill at 7" / min and a 3/32 ball nose endmill.

Art,

Very cool!  8)

You are a Renaissance man and a coding machine.

I downloaded the latest MachCloud off the Mach3 download area. I was able to open the scan of the hand which crafted this eloquent app, generate a mesh an save the STL. I"m including a image of how it looks in MeshCam.

Please post a scan of your right hand so I can start milling my very own Art.

Again, very cool!

General Mach Discussion / Active high and active low with gecko 203s
« on: December 14, 2007, 11:40:34 AM »
Hi,

I was tuning my Axis's and my Y axis quit working. After a bit of experimenting I was able to get it running by setting the Step setting to Active High. It seems to be running correctly now and I was able to machine a couple of parts but it will no longer run on the active low setting. My other axis's seem to be fine set to Active Low.  Just for a little more info: The motors on the X and Y axis are a little odd ball. They are 60ox 72 step/rev (This a EMCO F1 MILL and these are the motors that came with it,) and I have them wired 8 wire series.) Also, I am running a licensed copy of MachIII mill Version R2.60.

Although the mill seems to be running OK,  I would like to avoid future complications. Any ideas on what may be happening would be appreciated.

Thanks
Bob
