Search what type of browser you use to turn autoplay of video off -
It will be hidden deep in the browser configs and switch it to manual -
When you find it and switch it remember that if you get a browser update it will switch it back
-

Using FireFox, looked all through the settings and didn't see where to select that.
Will look again a little deeper, might have to ask online.
Thank you,
Russ

Here is a link for how to do it - remember if you get a update you got to do it again -

:) Hey, no apology necessary.
I agree, that's a damn good rule to live by.
But some times ya just gotta be tough and nice at the same time. :)

"If the new format is better in some way I haven't found it yet."

We are clearly in the same boat.
All I did was break the ice.  :D

We'll adapt .... we always do.

I just hate the automatic vids that eat up my gigs. To get ad bucks I guess, I understand.
I'm way out in the sticks with limited access.

Kind regards my friend,
Russ
 :)

You got something that is loaded or getting loaded and running in the background -
If You leave your spindle running and it gets stopped after a hour -
Same Win install on three diff machines. same problem , start stripping and uninstalling  -

Maybe until somebody comes up with a fix for the shutdown problem -
If you got room on your BOB set up a phony axis that goes nowhere like a rotary C:
write a little program that runs in a loop for the phony axis to keep it and mach busy until you need it -
just a thought .

General Mach Discussion / Re: Spindle/ C Axis using CSMIO/IP-A

I thought he was thinking of of using a servo only for both -

if he did go with a magnetic clutch wouldn't all power to the spindle have to be off during indexing -

I have a lathe head stock tail stock setup for my milling machine when needed -
Use a stepper on the head stock for both spindle and A: axis rotary -
using mach3 ports and pins settings -
use same ports and pins for both spindle and axis -
A: axis 9 - 8 dir low
spindle 9 - 8 dir low
then do motor tuning on both for what you need -
works like a champ. don't see why it would't work on a servo -
program m3 m5 does spindle - G01 A: works index
don't mix the code, keep it clean , when one is on the other is off -

General Mach Discussion / uc400eth question
« on: August 30, 2018, 06:17:35 PM »
thinking about getting a uc400eth  when i update my drivers and power supply.
running mach3 .62
how is the backlash control handled ?
is it a combined mix of code and backlash like smoothstepper on direction change.
or does it handle the backlash first with each direction change then run the code.

Take X axis scale mode and switch it from +1.000 to -1.000
Run the program mirrored 3 more times.
see what it does
