General Mach Discussion / Re: Huanyang vsd
« on: February 01, 2016, 10:46:04 PM »
I found out what was wrong (in my case...)

It was the way I had my Mach Screen configured, changed the screen to one I'd changed and everything was back to normal.

Not sure if this will help you but might be worth a look....

General Mach Discussion / Reverse running?
« on: May 13, 2015, 08:31:19 PM »
Hi all

How easy is to back track on my gcode tool path?

My system is a Mach3 controlled quilting machine, sometimes the tread will break part way through a tool path which means I have to stop the machine and re-thread it then take it back to the zero start point and re-run the tool path.

Would be nice to hit the stop button the second the tread breaks then back track the tool path to restart just before where the tread broke. Would I use feed stop or feed hold? Feed hold seems a bit slow to react....

Thanks for your thoughts.

Dave

General Mach Discussion / Seperate tool path files
« on: April 02, 2015, 10:39:37 PM »
Hi all

I’d like to be able to machine some parts in stages, I know if I don’t change the gcode file name it will remember zero point so I can reload files and have it start from the same point all the time. Providing I don’t turn it off…

Is there a way I can save my individual tool paths to different files and still be able to load them one after another without worrying about having to reset the zero point?

What about returning to a machining operation after the system has been switched off for some time?

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Screen design problem
« on: March 19, 2015, 09:35:50 PM »
Hi all
I've modified my mach3 screen so it's just as I wanted it but...... Everything works except the movement arrows don't do anything.

At the start of the redesign they were working..... What could I have done to screw this up??

Thanks Dave

General Mach Discussion / Micro computer
« on: March 17, 2015, 03:43:04 AM »
Hi all

I'm building a new system for the wifes CNC quilt machine. (My system currently drives it, I want it back!)

I'm thinking about setting it up with a micro computer and drives all in a small case, nice, neat and compact. A few I've looked at run Android or win ce, will mach3 run on win ce?

Does anyone out there have experience with any of these micro computers that might be suitable?

Many thanks, Dave

General Mach Discussion / Huyanyang VFD plugin
« on: October 11, 2014, 08:56:56 PM »
Hi all
I've been struggling to get my Huyanyang VFD plugin sorted, been reading lots of posts and a lot say different things in the way of setting. Was there or is there a published set of vsd and mach3 setting so I can start from stage 1 and work through systematically.

I use a gecko g540 so if I can't get this plugin to work properly should I just use the gecko to switch the spindle via its output and control the speed via the 0-10v signal?

Maybe there is an update to this.... Can't find many current posts...

Thanks Dave
