Hi JH
I just bought a fadal and am going to convert it. I read through your build and saw you are using 750W AC servos. Ever wised you had gone with bigger ones. Great job on the two builds.

Just out of curiosity, will the driver install if the computer does not have a parallel port?

Thanks Ron, that was the problem. I have installed many other programs and just assumed that I had administer rights. It is now installed and running.

Newfangled Mill Wizard / Windows 8 Install
« on: June 27, 2013, 12:52:01 PM »
I just tried installing NF Wizard on a Windows 8 tablet and it fails. This is version 1.0.9 just downloaded from the web site. It did install on a Win 7 laptop but I want the license to be on the Win 8 tablet. The error message is Error opening file for writing. It has the file location for the install and then click abort to stop, retry to tray again or ignore to skip. Retry just goes in a loop.

Any help would be appreciated.

After reading the above post I went and tested different feed rates.  F5=F14.7 indicated.  F10=F29.4 indicated and F20=58.7 indicated.  I tried rebooting and the results are the same.  Using SS.  This problem did not occur with ver16 of Mach and Beta 5 of MSM.

I have just updated to Mach3 ver19, and MSM Beta 9.  I had been unig 16 and Beta 5.  My feed rates are now running about 3 times the requested rate.  F20=F58  F19=F55.  The indicated rate is definatley correct IE it is actually running at the high rate.  I am using SS.  There was not a problem with the previous version.
