I am trying to connect a Huanyang VFD to the Ethercat EC01 Controller. I have the J2 port enabled. I assume i use the Pin 1and 2 from the port to connect to the VFD.
1. Which pins do I connect to on the VFD?
2. Is there any port /pin assignment in Mach4?
3.I also noticed the the manual for the VFD states the power supply setting for speed control is +10v, the default in Ec01 is -10v, so I do need to change it to +10in the EC01 parameters correct?

This VFD was used with previously with Mach3 and ESS with a USB connection but I cant get it to work with Mach4.
4. Are the setting in the VFD the same with Mach3/ESS setup as with the Mach4/EC01 setup?

The manual form Vital Systems isn't clear to me. Any help would be appreciated.

If you mean the JOGGING tab? Then the text box with increments? If so , that text box is not editable

Actually I want to change increments on the fly. In Mach 3 that was possible. I don’t want to reset the default jog increments I just want to type in the measurement and move the axis.

I am trying to enter my own jog increment in Mach 4. In Mach3 using the MPG Mode, i could edit the default increment, like 1, .01, .001, ect.
However the text box on the jog screen in Mach4 is not editable. So if i want to move the axis 1.35 inches I cant type this increment in and to jog said distance.

Am I missing something?

Mach4 General Discussion / Mach4 and ESS issues
« on: August 12, 2020, 07:40:56 PM »
I have upgraded for Mach3/ESS to Mach4/ESS. I have been running fine with the Mach3/ESS setup. I have installed the Mach4 and ESS. I have followed everything in the ESS plugin (all info for inputs, outputs, motors, ect). It seems to be communicating with Mach4, however I can't get the motors to engage.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks. I kept searching in the backup files and found a notepad document that explained the same thing that you suggested and it worked out. Thanks for your reply.
