Thanks Charlie. Yes. We are very happy. Tried another piece this morning. Perfect. Only issue I'm still having is setting the z cutter height. With my other machine you could lower the cutter to the face of the job from the keyboard with tiny movements. With this setup the quickest of taps on the keyboard sends the cutter into the job. It seems to move a number of mms instead of close increments.  Is there a parameter I can change to fix this??? Other than that it's running very well in every respect. regards...Ronnie.

Hi. Charlie and all who helped us with this issue. It's fixed :) ;D You were correct Charlie. Changed the Post Processer in aspire to Gcode MM and it worked. I have been using Gcode inch for many years and it always worked just fine. I never changed it which is why I could not understand why one file worked one time only in this new machine and program.. It was inch same as all the others. Very Strange. Anyway Charlie, my Wife also wants to say thank you because She is the Jewellery maker and relies on me to cut the components out on the CNC. We have not been able to make any stock for markets and as it is close to Xmas we need to produce. The other machine picked a bad time to fail. Anyway tis all good now. Thanks so much all who helped with this. Most appreciated by us... Wishing you all the best.....Regards...Ronnie and Fiona. ;D

Hi Charlie. Did that with one of the files. Made no difference. Just tried to send you a pic of a job. The one that the 6040 cut right. Would not attach. The timber 180 x100 mms is covered with Bees each one 50mm x 30mm. As I said in a post couple minutes ago the 6040 would now cut that whole 180x100 piece the size of a postage stamp. And the shapes would be unrecognizable. That's how bad the situation is.

This Photo is a typical job. Same type of file sent already created in Aspire. All done exactly the same way. This piece of Craftwood is 180mms x 100mms. If I try to cut this on the 6040 it will cut the whole thing probably about the size of a postage stamp. Watching the machine move, it hardly moves at all. It does all the moves in the file, but cuts them so small you can't tell what the thing looks like. Doesn't look like the file will attach. I'll try it on its own.

Hi Charlie. The Cats or whatever other pieces we cut are roughly between 20 to 60 mm in size and we usually do a run of them depending on the timber size offcut we have. The machine as I said is now cutting the file with tiny movements. it is following the file but so small you would not be able to tell what the image is. Basically a piece of timber say 200mm square covered with a number of images would be reduced to just a few mms square. As I said the clue is in the screen on Mach 3. The cursor red line movements Flash across the image with only the barest touch of the keyboard X or Y. This is not normal even with no file, the Mach 3 is running wrong. The same Mach 3 on the old XP computer works correctly with the red cursor lines crossing the screen at a normal rate with one of our typical files loaded. I just can't get the machine to move on the XP.

Don't know if you got two of the uploads. Only showing Cats. The XML file shows a date 19/1/2008
