General Mach Discussion / Mach3 settings with WJ200 hitachi drive parameters
« on: September 28, 2016, 05:14:00 PM »
Hi
My Hitachi X200 vfd just went up in smoke, been working great for years, was using Mach3 to control the VFD thru modbus. Just changed out the Hitachi drive to the new WJ200 series. Now I can not get the setup to work. Does anyone have the settings to use in Mach3 for WJ200? Plus I also need the brain file, and the parameters for setting up the WJ200 Hitachi drive

Up and running Hitachi X200 thru Mach3 ( Modbus ). Having 2 issues.... First issue is on rpm setting in mach3 does on match hz setting on VFD ( 12000rpm shows 280hz on vfd ) My second issue is, how can you delay z axis from dropping down to start cutting ( as the spindle motor is not up to full rpm yet )

Your right that it is not a pro version. I looked on artsoft website, a license for lazycam is $75 but has no support. So I downloaded bamcam, used the offset feature. Now I can get it to work in mach3, please remember that I'm VERY new at this, did a dry run in mach3, it does cut on offset, but it also still will cut on the original draw line.

Drawing was made in Viacad, saved as a DXF. Open drawing in Lazycam, did the offsets in lazycam. Pretty sure I have the pro version, as it came with mach3 program that I purchased.

Thanks for the information, have done the offsets... but when I hit the output button in lazycam, no tap extension file is made

LazyCam (Beta) / Cutting holes in AL sheet metal
« on: January 01, 2014, 08:17:32 PM »
New at this, I'm cutting 2" holes in AL sheet metal, but the holes come out instead 2.125". The tool bit has a diameter of .125", my guess is that lazycam is using the center of the bit for the cutting path. Is there some type of setup in lazycam to use the outside of the bit in the cutting path?

General Mach Discussion / problem s in machining 2" hole
« on: January 01, 2014, 12:29:13 PM »
I'm cutting out 2" holes in AL sheet metal, the problem is the holes come out 2.125". I'm using a .125 bit, so I think the program is using the center of the bit for the cutting path. I'm very new at this, so any help would be nice. I was wondering if the is some type of setup in mach3 or lazycam that I missed, as I really don't want to change the hole size in the program to 1.875" to cut a 2" hole.
