Solved! After disconnecting ENA- i had to reconnect the 5V to ENA+/DIR+/STEP+. Now the driver and motor works.

Starting to make more tests now.

Thanks for assistance

HI Matevž,

ok, i think i missunderstood it:-)

I connected all as you adviced me, but the Driver goes not online. It has a LED for POWER which does not illuminate after turning power to on and connecting the POKEYS card.Without the POKEYS card the Power LED comes up! The POKEYS Card has Power, the pullup 470 resistor is in place on pin 49, 5V are connected to Pul+, Dir+ and ENA+.ENA - is to ground connected. PUL- AND STEP- are connected to PIN 40 and 49.

A connected stepper makes nothing. But without Power on the driver its normal.

Any idea?

Hi,

But whats about pin 46 -X ?? The manual advises to not connect this pin to the driver?? How can i use the x axis?

Hi all,

i am new here and want to say hello to you:-) I am not very experienced in stepper driver and its connection.

I just tried to connect my Pokeys56E to MACH3. As far as good, the encoder and switches are working for now.

But what i don't undersatnd is, how can i connect the stepper drivers to the Pokeys card?

The driver has two PULL, two DIR and two ENABLE entries, but the Pokeys offer 1 DIR and 1 STEP ouput.

Has anyone a connection shematic about the wiring and can help me out with it please? Would be very appricated:-)

Regards

Thomas
