Tweakie Hello how are you?

I still need your help :)

This afternoon I tried cutting a rectangle with a circle in the middle.

The machining is very smoothly as you can see from the photos.

Now I ask you a few questions.

1 - why in MDI mode, when I type G01 Y-60 F1000 milling shifts the Y-60.0547 and G01 X-600 F1000 milling shifts the X-600.0199?

Here are some photos.

and I encounter the same problem with the machining of the part above.

in the program there are G01 X-120 F700 and the machine shifts to X-121.12.

that the dimensions of the part is not good agreement, but normally when I type in MDI G01 Y-60 F1000 machine must stop at Y-60 why it does not?

2 - How to reduce speed rapid traverse G00?

PS: For my settings automatic I use calipers square is what it is or should I use a dial indicator tip?

thank you in advance for your help

how to calculate?

Hi Niroleta,

That’s the next thing to do when you have the machine moving under Mach3 control.

Rather than repeat the instructions here…

If you refer to Section 5.5 of the Mach3 Manual http://www.machsupport.com/documentation.php (I assume the French Manual has the same Section numbers) this details how steps are calculated manually. Then Section 5.5.2.3 details the automated process which is probably best for your machine with it’s reduction pulleys and drive belts etc. This process is then repeated for each axis in turn.

Hope this helps.

Tweakie.

hello tweakie,

I got your message about the manual

Section 5.5.3.2 is the chapter on automatic settings in French.

Tomorrow afternoon I'll try to system setting.

In any case tweakie I want to thank you for the help you give me, and still grieve for my English.

I'll probably still need help then I hope you will always be there to help me.

It is ok for the machine configuration manual work.

I would now like to address the "steps per" how to calculate this value?

the problem is that I have a 10 tooth pulley at the output of the electric motor
which transmits the force to a belt pulley 34 teeth.

how to calculate?

Here is a photo editing:

Tweakie Ok I'll try this afternoon.

the machine will adjust?

is what I should configure other parameters after launch mach 3 with my new configuration?
