Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Unknow g code help
« on: August 21, 2012, 06:22:31 PM »
Hey this is Todd-new user and new CNC user.

I have loaded a file on Mach 3 that is a part that someone is running for me now-he ran some yesterday,  His system is Enroute 4,

He gave me a copy that I was able to load in Mach and could see the gcodes, but then it gave me a status saying "unknown g code Line 3"  This Line 3 was G75.

What could be going on as I know this file runs.  I loaded it as a .cnc file like I said it opened fine but would not let me run.

Is there a way to override this or way to fix?

Any help would be appreciated.

Bob, Thanks for helping.  My designs are currently on a software called Enroute 4.  He has the files loaded there.  Is that software compatible with Mach 3?

Do I need a design software to go along with Mach 3?  My designs have curves and scallops and I know I can't write Gcodes for that stuff.

Thanks for any help or direction.

I just registered and need help.  My name is Todd and I am a new owner of a new CNC Router with Mach 3 Software.  Biggest Question-I currently purchase routed pieces from a company.  He has the designs-which I own and he is willing to share(he is actually going to help train me) on his files.  Is it an easy process to import these into Mach 3 and will the GCodes import with them?  Will the tool paths also then be set up?
I have two designs that I need to start making asap.
Where is the best place to go to learn how to import these files into Mach 3?
Thanks for help and look forward to learning from others.
Todd
