Finished Screens / Re: Mach3 2010 Screenset - Now available
« on: July 28, 2015, 03:26:02 AM »
Hi guys,

 I am running the 2010 screenset on a all aluminium milling machine with a steel chinese spindle. I currently am trying to use the auto xyz function, but as both the aluminium part and the spindle with the cutting bit are grounde to my table it does not work.

 The only way i have been able to get around the problem is to wrap the spindle in electrical tape. This does work but with so much metal swarf flying around it does not take long for it to short the homing system out. Is there a way around this  that any one has tried or perhaps evev a setting for it.

 I thought about setting the low high check box but not sure if that would work. The other alternative maybe would be to use a proper spring loaded probe with the little ball on the end, as that would still trogger but not electricall short.

So what do u think??

Thanks in advance

Hi Guys, I was wondering what your favourite Pendant/MPG is. I am currently looking at the Tormach one on their website. But am open to suggestions.  Also can someone confirm for me please that the Tormach pendant  will run under Mach3 with no issues please.

Thanks in advance.  ;D

General Mach Discussion / Re: Tool Offsets

Why does it NOT make sense. All I am saying is I have a G55 fixture command evoked..  whilst I am also trying to get the Tool Offset to work.

Ok forget the G55 command.... I will put it another way;

Why doesn't the diamater of the tool change when I press the Tool Offset button. The tool LENGTH changes but not the diamater.

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks in advance.

General Mach Discussion / Tool Offsets

Hi guys, I am trying to get "Tool Offsets" to work under the G55 command.
I have created a tool in the tool list and saved it. However when i go to the "Offsets" page and turn it on, only the tool length changes on the DRO. NOT the diameter!... Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Thanks.
