General Mach Discussion / Re: my CNC "twitches"
« on: May 03, 2012, 09:33:59 PM »
system jumps at the same time i get the twitch, it goes from 00 to 19.  sytem idle process goes down to 88 from 99.  i'm not sure what that means or how to figure out where it is actually coming from....thanks again for the help, you're getting really close!

General Mach Discussion / my CNC "twitches"

all axisis "twitch" every 5 seconds with nothing running.  i've deduced that it has something to do with the parallel port as it goes away when i disconnect it.  dont think its noise, when i disable the port it goes away.  i read somewhere that the bios needed to be reconfigured to EPP, did that and still get the 5 sec twitch.

i am etching printed circuit boards and during the run my z axis ends up higher and therefore stops etching, i believe it has to do with this twitch and missing or corrupting signals during the run?

could really use some help, not much hair left.
thanks!
