Usa pokeys56u que es una placa que a través del puerto usb te genera step/dir y todas las inputs necesarias de final de linea, homming,etc...cuesta 50euros y funciona perfectamente en mach3. Yo es la acabe comprando.

Hasher I need same for you. I'm drawing a circuit for controlling 3 axes with pokeys56e and can't find eagle layout for put pokeys in my design.

Anybody found or draw eagle libraries for pokeys ?

Mach3 support backlash compensation. Pokeys "is only" a motion hardware....is software that support this issue.

Pokeys have a cheap hardware for controlling 3,4 and 8 axes with eth port. Find pokeys in San google and enjoy.

Hey all,

A little update of my system.

In this moment, only one axis is connected, but works perfectly with pokeys.

TEORIC max speed will be 36,6mm per second at 0.0015 mm x step.

0.0015 is very high for my machine, and I will reduce to 0.015. New Feed rate speed is 366mm per second (WWOOOOOOOWWWW).

Is enought for make a REAL FAST HOMMING.

For machining, speed will be reduced at 20 or 30mm per second.

seldom I was in the same problem.
the solution was eliminate noise in VCC power supply of the motor controller.
USB connection between pc and pokeys fall when motor start chopper.
With and oscilloscope see signal vcc 5v and 24v of inverter... noise noise and more noise.

Separate via optocuplers step and dir and independent power supply and all ok.

Is my experience.

Have you got and oscilloscope ?
Can you see data/step signals with and osciloscope ?
is possible that signals are very fast and no understand by motor controller ?

you have connected ESTOP pin to pokeys ? I think that is pin 52 ....
