Screen designer tips and tutorials / Hoss probing button codes
« on: June 29, 2015, 04:23:11 AM »
Hi All,

I downloaded the Hoss metric probing screens some time ago and I have been using these regularly quite satisfactorily.

Recently I built a control panel with a number of hardware buttons to replicate screen buttons for some of the more common actions that are used. Included on the panel are a set of buttons that replicate the various probing functions offered on the Hoss screen set. I have been able to program the Pokeys device with the majority of the control button codes for the standard Mach3 functions but I have been unable to identify the button codes for Hoss’ screen.

I emailed Daniel (Hoss) a while back but did not receive a response – I am sure that he is a very busy man with a lot of email traffic. So I was wondering if anyone on the forum might know the button codes or explain how they may be found.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

General Mach Discussion / $th axis not reversing
« on: April 24, 2014, 05:16:21 AM »
Hi guys,
Would appreciate some ideas on the following;-
I've got my 4th axis (rotational) almost completed on my mill and, apart from some minor (read stupid) mistakes, it seems to be working OK. Now the weird bit - when I'm setting up the axis in Mach3 the motor tuning is as normal - max speed, forward and reverse using up arrow and down arrow. Save settings, come out and move axis using keys set up in System Hotkeys (keypad - and keypad +). No problem for max speed with shift key held down - both forward and reverse just like in motor tuning but for slow jogging (without the shift key held down) the motor will turn one direction but not the other. In addition, after trying to reverse it at slow jog it seems to stop the entire jogging of all axis and I have to press the stop button to "reset" and allow jogging again.

Don't know what I've missed or if this is meant to be but it will make it very difficult to aligh the 4th axis if it will only slow jog one way. Any advice or input would be very welcome.

Cheers

Ali
